no prob.
I went to the bottom and it was like a carbon color. I primered of course before paint. I should of mentioned but you can also take it to a near chrome shop. They dip everything an an acid type stripper before the pre-polish. They come out great.

i do have an oem aluminum 63 grill, catch is it has dents in it. any idea as to how i can get it back to an original shape?

Patience, a small hammer, a small block of wood and more patience. I would rather chaperone a 3rd grade girls Volley ball field trip for a week than straighten a delicate aluminum piece.

The grill turned out great. I've wondered about the chrome paint and how it would look but never tried it. Seems to be a winner.
