They're just '67-72 trailing arms with a modified crossmember. Easy as pie. And Thanks!

I've been busting my but trying to get the engine/trans installed in the chassis for good. There are alot of little parts to gather and details to mind but I finished detailing and painting, then stabbed the engine. Now I'm waiting on a pilot bearing and flywheel bolts. Enjoy:

The front are whatever came with the TCI MII, not sure but they're double convoluted and the rears are Firestone F9000 sleeve bags. Lots of lift from the F9000's and they are supposed to ride NICE.

the travel height looks great. I like how it isn't slammed too, just in case
something happens, it's nice to not be stranded. Everything is looking real good and clean. I really like the OG frames with MII on them, they look much cleaner than s-10 swaps. I think I might try and go that route on my next project, even though I got another s-10 frame and OG frame sitting and waiting.

Thanks! The front could go to the ground but I want to be able to roll if I lose air, so I set the bumpstops to where the crossmember is about 2" off the ground. Gave me some peace of mind. I debated on the frame issue for along time, at the end of the day I decided that putting some more money into the stock frame would pay off in the long run. It adds resale value in my opinion.

Really nice setup you got there.
How many more horses does the Victor Jr with carb gives over the stock LS6 intake and TB setup if the bottom end is stock?

What made you go that route?

I've seen different data on the intake, based on LS1 and LS6 engines, from 20-40 added hp over stock. With a cam the potential is greater. I'm guestimating about 350-360hp at the crank, the engine was good for about 305 hp stock.

Just did it for the looks really. It probably would have been easier to go with EFI, I had all the stuff.

45 to 55hp at the crank is not too bad... I went with the EFI with my LS1 but I went with a FAST intake, and beefed up the cam/heads and exhaust.

PISSED!!!!!!!!!

Crappy parts just ruined a productive evening. My wife was gracious enough to let me go play after dinner (with 2 kids and full time jobs this is a big deal on a weekday).

I've gotten the engine in and collected everything I needed to put the flywheel, clutch assembly and trans in for good too. I took my time, checked the bellhousing runout (which was surprisingly good), installed the pilot bearing, and flywheel. Torqued the flywheel bolts 17lbs, 34lbs, 69lbs...lined up the clutch and pressure plate, installed the bolts finger tight and began to torque.

Wait, why is this pressure plate bolt spinning freely in the flywheel??????????

The dang threads on the very last bolt were crap, never made it past 10lbs of torque. I had to remove everything including the $50, one-time use, TTY, special order flywheel bolts (bet O'Reilly won't be replacing those huh?). Soooo frustrating. Anyways, here's some "update" pics. Hope I'm in a better mood next time

great build. Did you ever switch to the LS1 oil pan or are you still running the truck pan? do you have any motor mount pics...my 6.0L seems to sit low, espically the pan when I have it air'd down.
