Hinge pins

I replaced the hinge pins on all three doors while I replaced the rocker panels.

Now I noticed the hatch and tailgate hinges are a little loose. Anyone rebuild those hinges? Do they accept the same pin/bushing sets as the doors?

Re: Hinge pins

I started to do mine, but when I tried to press the pins out of the hinges on the hatch they started to deform. So at that point I would have had to drill them out and make new pins if I wanted to do them. I decided they weren't bad enough to delay my upcoming appointment in the paint booth for it. Just from that little bit of interaction with those pins I don't believe they are the same as the door hinge pins as they seemed to be quite malleable and no where near as hard as the door pins. I have no information on the gate hinges. I don't know if this helps you at all.

Re: Hinge pins

It tells me to leave them alone for the time being. I don't need to open another can-of-worms at the moment.

Re: Hinge pins

Are hinge pin bushings the same for barn doors and passenger doors?
I've been researching and searching for a rebuild kit for my 1967 suburban barn doors, not finding any threads or resources for parts. Any members have a lead on sourcing these barn door hinge pins and/or bushings?
