Stock front suspension on 59?

how good is it? is it comfortable enough to cruise at 70 mph on the freeway? is there any way to put power steering on it? can u lower the front end without using a whole new front clip? thanks

Lots of upgrades available.

Check out http://www.classicperform.com/

First thing to do is upgrade the brakes, they were never intended to slow down a heavy truck from 70 mph.

Mono leaf springs replace the original spring packs with a one piece (mono) spring. They are available in different drops. Check out the web page posted above.

I don't think it will ride and handle like IFS, but with the mods you already have completed, it would lower it down nicely.
