How hard to replace the multi-function switch?
The wipers on the K30 I just bought is set up on a toggle switch under the dash. The MF lever is broken and needs replaced. Everything else as far as bright switch, turn signal, and cruise seems to work just fine. I have never had to replace one of these so I don't know what all is involved.

How does the switch come out. Do I have to tear down the column to get it off.

Yes I believe you have to take the wheel off and the plate that's behind the wheel. The switch is held on with one screw and the wires for the switches are fed through the column itself.

The lever itself just pulls straight out if I remember correctly. You have to remove the steering wheel and locking plate. Both are easy to remove with the right tools which are available cheap at Autozone. The hardest part is feeding the wires through the column. I had the column out of the truck and it was still a pain to feed the wires through.

Maybe I can tie a string to the end of the connector before I pull the switch out. That way maybe I can just pull the new wiring back through the column with the string. Not sure if it will work but worth a try. I was hoping I didn't have to pull the steering wheel and plate underneath it. Oh well.
