Ignition and radiator mounting

I have a 1968 C10 with a 327ci, it was T-boned about 2 or 3 years ago and parked. After a couple losses in the family I decided to pull the truck out and get it going to go to the body shop to have the bed fixed but the engine was leaking out of every orifice it could. Pulled the engine resealed it, new water pump, radiator, gaskets, oil pump, and general tune up. I had bought a new 4 core all aluminum radiator but it does not go with the stock mounts due to the tanks being square and not rounded, and i was not sure if the HD radiator mount kit would work to mount the radiator. I was also looking to going with a full electronic HEI ignition from Jegs or MSD but after searching the sites for hours I could not find correct kit to put on the truck, has anyone added an electronic distributor with ignition box. Engine is pretty much bone stock with Rochester Quadjet carb with electric choke also thinking about putting a new carb on as well but not sure what is an upgrade as far as drive ability goes.

I am new to the old school engines and ignition systems, I work mainly on new direct injection engines and Diesel engines so it a bit of a new world for me.

I would use a quality HEI distributor and a good rebuild kit for the stock quadrajet. With the ignition upgrade and a clean well tuned carb it will run great with less maintenance overall when it had points.

IMO the ignition box wouldn't be needed with a stockish engine.

Thank you, I have all week off so i will probably be ordering the jegs ready to run HEI distributor, same as the MSD just different sticker on the side. I will look into the rebuild kit and see how much trouble i can get into with that, shouldn't be too terrible with the internet and prior shop experience.

This is the HEI I used on my truck last year.
Works great. No problem.
For $89 no sense in messing with points or convert old dist.
IMO. You may read about clearance issues but I cleared the firewall with zero problems.
