c10 c-notch

at what point do I need to worry about a c-notch? I have a coil sprung truck and 3" drop springs,, i may even go to 5's if it looks better.

Re: c10 c-notch

To cut a frame for a couple inches is nuts.
You can get the look without the plasma

Re: c10 c-notch

67chevemall, I disagree, there's only so low you can go without modifying the frame in some way (without other serious mods).

skymangs, I have a 6" drop with no c-notch, and very seldom bottom out. You should be fine with a 5" drop.

Good luck, Rg

cool, I'm not gonna cut the frame, I'm asking how low I can go without a c-notch.

Re: c10 c-notch

In my experience 6" is the maximum. Some guys say they bottom out at 6" over bumps but I think it has a lot to do with your springs rates and shocks.

Re: c10 c-notch

Ya mine was real low on bags and never bottomed out.
I would never cut a frame.
But now that I am old and wise it is all stock now baby.
