Shock install question for the board

Just lowered my truck with 2.5" spindles and 1.5" ridetech lowering springs. I have ridetech shocks to install. Got the truck back on the ground and went to install the front shocks but the shocks are about 1/4" too short to fit on both shock studs. I am pretty sure I can jack up the rear and compress the front enough to get the shock on but I worry that the shocks will be overextended since they are too short to fit at normal ride height. Am I thinking about this the wrong way? This is the first time I have replaced shocks so wasn't really sure what to expect. I was assuming I would have had to compress the front shock some to get it on at ride height.

One would think the shocks would be longer than a drooped suspension but I have never lowered a vehicle.

With the truck sitting on the ground, the stud to stud length is 13.25 inches. The ‘lowered’ ridetech shocks are 13 inches fully extended. Kind of baffling that these are the recommended shocks for lowered vehicles. I will have to get with MCB tomorrow when they open and see what’s up.

You only dropped 1.5 in suspension so stock would still be o.k. I think . The drop spindles don't play in this setup as it moves the tire up .

If you got these hooked up now you would have a HARD ride every bump slamin the shocks as bump stops .
