Front roof differences Sub and truck

ok, My suburban's worst spot if around the top of the windshield and doors, and I was wondering what the differences were between the two in these areas? I know the suburban roof goes up higher, but what about the area near the gutters?

Basically, if I were to fix it, i would want to cut a horse shoe out of the truck roof, and replace mine with it, since the center section of my roof is good.

Would this work?

Burb is more vertical, truck more horizontal near the drip rails.

You can use a pickup inner structure but will need to fab the outer roof.

Re: Front roof differences Sub and truck

No need for getting a new roof piece. I was there taking a couple parts off, and decided it's too rusty to keep.

I went to remove the screw holding the mirror on, turned it a quarter of a turn, the mirror turned with it and then just completely fell off. this is what I was left with:

yeah, oh well. Made the decision on what to do with it that much easier.

Now to grab a couple cans of PB Blaster and get to work.
