LS swap from 4x4 burb to 4x2 c10
I'm considering an LS swap on my 71 c10 2 wheel drive.
Someone I know is offering me a complete 2003 suburban for $600, but it's a 4x4. I don't want to go 4x4 on the truck. Is this possible to still use that transmission? If I go LS, I want auto. thanks for the help |

Not easy to convert a 4wd trans to a 2wd . The main output shaft is to short in the trans ( trans would have to come apart to change ). Can not just change tail housing . Be better off selling the trans and transfer case together or separate . You should have enough money from that to get a good trans .
The plus side of the complete vehicle is you will have a lot of the odds and end parts that will nickle and dime you to death . |
