You are a very smart man to have kept both all this time. I love that and would like to hear some of the stories. The G rated ones at least.

Just shows how deep this hobby goes. The General certainly got it right with styling in 67 IMO. The after market guys love it too. I don't feel old till I look in the mirror. These 56 yr. old eyes can't believe it sometimes.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

When my '71 was new I was 22 years old, recently back from Viet Nam and just enjoying being Stateside again. Bought my '71 in '85 and have had it since. Lots of memories, money and beer have gone along with it.

Pretty sure that makes me an "ol' timer" but I still play with cars and trucks.

Much appreciated, wish the country had had that sentiment when I came home from 'Nam. Sadly 'twas not the case then. I was 84th Engineer Battalion (Const), built roads, bridges, Lots of job security. Build it once, come back two weeks later, re-build it. Thanks for your service, Brother.

I do too, the climate at that time was pathetic to say the least. We are closer than I thought. I was 8th engineer battalion. Ribbon bridge. I was lead boat operator, bridge erection crew. MY dad was 101st airbourne, Korea. He was a little before viet nam, I was a little behind. And my step dad was Hell on wheels viet nam 1967
