Flaring hard line for AN

I want to go from hard 3/8 stainless line to AN, so I was going to use my hydraulic flaring tool with a 37-degree die.

I have the -6 tube nuts and rings...

Is it as simple as put the nut and ring on, single-flare it 37 and you're done? Seems too easy!

Any tips or tricks are welcome. I've done a lot of double-flare stuff but have never done a hardline AN flare ever!

That's the way I've done it. Same as you, I've done lots of double flares but only a couple of AN.

I have used an adapter that had a compression fitting on one side and -8 on the other.

That's it! Just make sure your ends are nice and square and de-blurred properly. Use some lube on your dies too.

AN is 37 1/2*. The link should help explain.
