Front end swap help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I got the entire front end off of a 1985 GMC c10. Like, everything. Literally unbolted from the frame and got everything including steering stuff and brake master cylinder and brake booster. I have a 68 c10 that I am putting a 5.3 and 4l60e in, so I needed to do a front disk swap. I got the front end pretty much figured out, but what about the power booster? Do I need to drill new holes? What about my pedal? Thanks for your help. Also, I'm wanting to add a sway bar here soon, would I need to order a sway bar for the 85, or can I order one for 68?

Looks like you asked for help on this over a year ago. Just wondering if you got finished? I'm planning on doing the same thing before long and was just searching around on here looking for help.

Use a booster for you year truck.

Wow I can't believe nobody piped in on this last year.

Use a booster from a 67-72. The sway bar should be the same for all through 87. Diameters may vary. The power steering fittings will be metric o-ring.

It's a pretty straightforward swap.
