350 to 6 banger move
Im going to a 1 piece driveshaft...going with a long shaft th400 tranny and moving the engine from the v8 to 6 cylinder position. Anyone do this? was there any header clearance problems? Hows the distributor to fire wall fit?
any info would be helpful

The HEI dist fits a little snug, but will go in/ out of the eng , with the cap & rotor off. no problems with the headers(especially with an auto trans). I have run both Hedman & Hooker, with stick or auto in I 6 position. best of luck, crazyL

yea sort of...I need to shorten the length of the one piecs shaft...and it will be better weight transfer....10.94 @ 121.08 is a little fast with a 2 piece shaft. On a side note...I came in second place in this years track championship points series....im pretty stoked http://reddingdragstrip.net/main.php?p=points

You're going to use 6 cylinder towers right? The V8 towers won't bolt into the rear holes without redrilling.

LOL...yea the last pass of the year...30MPH tail wind and a DA -300 feet. Not average conditions...they refer to those conditions as "mind shaft" air...all the cars were setting new records

So, am I correct in assuming that my 6 towers will fit a 350 motor mount and mount up properly?
