'88 Suburban Questions, Please.....

Pictures forthcoming.....

Yes, mine is called 'The Beast' also!!

I have a 2-DIN GPS DVD unit that works well, however, i would like to move it where the ashtray is, so it would be easier to see. My Beast Has A/C, and I was wondering if anyone else has taken their dash out, or could show/tell me what is behind the ashtray, and if it is possible to move the stereo to that location. My other question has to do with the rear side windows. mine are solid. are the sliders stock on a blazer, and will they fit in a suburban, or where do you get them?

Thank you all for the info i have gleaned from this site. Headliner replacement coming up also!!!

The sliders were an option on K5s and are different from Suburbans. You're asking for a heap of work to relocate the stereo. I know if it was me I'd learn to live with it.

yes the window sizes are different, burb to jimmy
there are a few here who moved the radio to there,I'd ask in the audio area for that
I doubt this area would stretch out enough for you?
my 87 Burb @1.5 and 78 Jimmy@1 are there
