Suburbans in action!

I saw this video of the burb going through the snow, and wondered if any of my fellow burb lovers have any good video's of their burb or another doing something really cool burb style.

Here are a few of my favorites

Post pics or videos of burbs doing cool stuff, be it blazing through snow, mud, sand, rocks, canyons, trees, weeds, water, and the quarter mile.

Let's see em!

I will start with a few:

Love that early 60's Burb tearin' up the drag strip, but that last one pulling out two trucks is just cool too!

Re: Suburbans in action!

Hey,what about Panels? Here's a short clip of a unicorn I spotted yesterday:

click pic

Ok,don't get too excited. Although it is a true '67 Panel,that's a '72 suburban chassis it's rolling on. It's a true 67-72 4wd Panel,right?
(please direct all questions concerning this vehicle to the poster just before me ^)

Re: Suburbans in action!

In the timeline photos the 61 is actually a 62 and the 63 is newer.
61 had 4 headlights with hooded bezels.
63 had single headlights with round bezels.
Also 63 had the wraparound windhield, 64 was the first year for the flatter windshield.

Re: Suburbans in action!

I noticed the flaws, too. I'm hard to please when it comes to this stuff anyway. I think some could have been better examples. With a little more effort and patience I'm sure original examples could be found for each year, which would have better shown the actual progression.

Re: Suburbans in action!

I was just bringing up what I saw as mistakes. Finding original Suburbans for each year may have been harder than we think. My other suggestion would have been to find a 50 year gold and white model and a 75 year model with the special badging. Suburbans are may favorite vehicle, thats why I own 3 of them!

Re: Suburbans in action!

I believe I could come up with originals for every year. My point is I wouldn't make a time line until I had that. It just misses the mark to me,that's all I'm saying.

Special K

After seeing some of the pictures you have found and posted here, you get my vote for finding pictures of originals. First place I would look is Edmunds, I think they had a history of Suburbans that featured one from every body style. Then off to find original sales brochures that have good pictures if you can't find restored real items!
