72 Burban STOCK wiring

Hi I have a 72 Chevy 4X4 C10 Suburban (70%) complete on restoration. I have been trying to get my "Neutral" switch working and when I looked under the dash it looked really ugly. I guess the previous owner patched everything together. Since I am not adding any thing new (using stock radio and equipment), I thought I would try and find an original under the dash wiring harness, from someone that is going all modern/upgrade. Or if anyone has a better IDEA, I would be glad to hear it. Thanks Rich

Re: 72 Burban STOCK wiring

Welcome to the board!

If you are 70 percent through a restoration, then I would save up for a new plug and play OEM designed replacement wire harness for the under dash.

There are 3 big chunks of wire harnesses for the burb, and you can get a new one from one of the vendors for a very competitive price.

I highly recommend you do that if your current set up is "ugly".

Spending a couple hundred bucks on a new dash harness, is cheap insurance from keeping your restored burb from burning down on the side of the road.

I got mine from M&H, which supplies to most of the vendors.
You can keep it original with the glass fuses, or go with the new updated plastic blade style fuses.
