Pickup door on suburban?

Does anyone know if a 71 pickup door will fit on my 72 burb? I've got some serious rust on the lower panel and instead of buying the patch from lmc I figured why not just buy a new door? Any avdice would be great

Re: Pickup door on suburban?

The window frame on the burb is squared at the top back portion and the pick-up door is rounded in that area. So like 67chevy1series said, you will have to replace the frame in that area with the burb part and use a burb window.

Re: Pickup door on suburban?

So basically if I already had the doors it would be worth it. I might as well just try and find some suburban doors. I knew there was no way it was gonna be as easy and just switching them over. And so the search contiues....

Re: Pickup door on suburban?

whats wrong with the set on the burb? you can use the truck set for patch panels or if your good at welding you can also cut the upper track off the doors and swap them

Re: Pickup door on suburban?

Bigblueburban, were you able to find the burb doors, or did you modify the truck door to fit the burb. I have the same dilema, and I found a set of truck doors in really good conditions.
