Ball Joint Wont Sit In Spindle

has anyone had this problem? I changed my stock spindles to drop spindles but when I was tightening everything up I noticed they weren't sitting in all the way. anyone know what I may have done wrong or what I should do to fix it? thinking of taking it out and trying to reseat it.

Pics are not real clear. What year truck and what year spindles? looks like it is a year mis match. May be as simple as a new lower ball joint.

Re: Ball Joint Wont Sit In Spindle

Yes, there are three different year break down for spindles,

63-70
71-72
73-87

You must match the ball joints to the same year spindle. Since you don't list what year your truck is, it's hard to know what to tell you. Some more info would be helpful, like year of truck, did it already have disc brakes or drums, etc.

It's a 1974 c10 already had the disc brakes on it. They are 1.25 thick.

Re: Ball Joint Wont Sit In Spindle

Those may be 71 or 72 spindles.

Re: Ball Joint Wont Sit In Spindle

sorry for the late update but everything was fine and correct. my problem was the boots did not have grease. once I greased it up the rubber covered what it was suppose to and the wheels straightened up. the top of the tire was leaning in on both sides.
