The original brackets are pretty straight forward. The rods that go from the dash to firewall as well. Are you mounting as a four speed it will locate under the dispatch box ( glove compartment ) . 3speed and auto in the center under the radio.
look in my link to my picasa album and search for Accessories Installation Manual. The illustrations and measurements are there.

Awesome, sounds like you could pretty much make them yourself? Okay I'll look, and I have a 3 speed, so it'll be going under the dash

Does anyone have an original cool pack in their Truck that they could possibly give me the measurements on the brackets that I can make? T

Thats not the truck unit , thats from a car. It has a different inlet configuration for the air-fan inlet.

I will pictures when I get it in the mail. Yes sir I've done some research before & I believe this is the one that would have been in a bel air or impala before 63 if I'm not mistaken. It was too hard to pass up! Lol

Do you happen to know the measurements for the brackets? I want to make my own since they are almost impossible to get

It wont do any good to measure the brackets. The one on the right side will go right over your inlet.

Re: Just got a Cool pack A/C need help with mounting

I would say to start with the two rods that go from the dashto the firewall. Then measure for center on your unit to see if the mounting screws are sequential. The brackets are simply a flat piece of steel with a hump that clamps itself to the two rods. Im off the road for two weeks starting on thursday. I have to remove the old garage on my.property, so its clean up time of the parts inside. Ill take some pictures of what I have so you can get a visual of how they did it.
Not sure but maybe Jon can concure but didnt they use the nobs for the Corvair style unit on the trucks rather than the Impala style knobs.

Thank very much. I'm going to start measuring very soon and find some steel.
Let me know about those pictures thanks again!

Great reference material Jon. You should start your own website and create as many reference threads possible. Amazing inventory of knowledge and parts you have. And such a nice guy to boot.
