Machining 6 lug wheels

I am looking for 6 lug wheels for my '69 panel and am not having luck finding what I want. I'm looking for a torq thrust style and can only find them in 20's. has anyone machined the center bore on the newer six lug wheels to fit the hub on the older 6 luggers? Thoughts?

I'm not a machinist but as long as they fit snug on the hub and there was still plenty of meat left on the wheel I don't think there would be a problem. How much would you have to remove?

Re: Machining 6 lug wheels

I believe American Racing offers them in custom patterns. They used to call them blanks. Give them a call. They aren't cheap, a buddy ordered some wheels for his wife's 2CV ten years ago.
