cleaning/sanding undercarriage and bottom of floors and bed for paint

What is the best tools to use to clean up under there for paint? I started with a wire wheel, switched to a rol-loc disk, then called "timeout" because it was such a dirty job I'm thinking a good pressure washing would be in order FIRST... I'm finding out there are going to be a lot of places that I can't easily access to brush off or grind/sand.

My truck just has some minor surface rust under there. I just wanna knock that rust off so paint will stick good and last. I figure i'll paint the undercarriage with some rustoleum and a brush. Any suggestions?

You really don't have many options other than what you are doing now. My only suggestion is not to use rustoleum but use something like POR15 or KBS coatings to seal up the rust better

Definitely pressure wash first, it'll get you 98% there

Pressure washing and some really good degreaser are probably your best options first. After that you could have it media blasted if you got money to burn.

x2 on the degreaser. I hosed the greasy spots with Purple Power and spent a lot of time under the truck with the pressure washer going over and over it. For the paint, I used Rustoleum but not the brush on variety - just plain old satin black in a can. That was a good five or six years ago and it's held up well and still looks good.
