Stereo question: Mounting tweeters

I want to put separates in my '64 Chevy truck, and I don't want to do a bunch of cutting to make everything fit. I'm thinking of mounting my flush-mount tweeters right next to my visors, and I don't want the wires to show.

Does anyone know if it's possible to run wires down the inside of the A-pillar? I would like to run the wires through the same hole as the visor attach point. I'm just unsure if it's a clear route path because there's a bunch of intersecting metal roof structure in that area.

Re: Stereo question: Mounting tweeters

I don't really know but I wouldn't be surprised if there is no opening at the bottom of the pillar. If there is (or you add a hole with a drill) you should be able to "snake" the path with a fishing weight on a string.

If you can get that through then you should be able to use the string to pull wires through.

Re: Stereo question: Mounting tweeters

I want to do the same to my 68c10 and after checking with a stereo nut my plan was the same as yours. Plan number 2 is to use the single speaker location in the center of the dash, angle the tweeters away from each other (angled towards driver and passenger) reflecting off of the windshield. No drilling needed, no one would see or suspect the tweeters in the center of the dash. My stereo friend said on the internet is woofer box design, etc free. Good luck, Brian F.
