Re: Speaker Mounts

Rear speaker mounting brackets are available from LMC for about $17 + s&h.
I made my speaker boxes out of 1/4" MDF and painted them black. I used smaller round JVC speakers. I have no boom box. I am trying to save what is left of my hearing. Speakers sound fine to me with no tinny sound. Others can comment on big blast sound options.

Those brackets you can get through board member bigblock73.

They are excellent in my opinion. This is the 2nd truck I have used them on.

They are excellent, I had a pair in my C-10, thick gauge metal, perfect fit, lots of complements.

Re: Speaker Mounts

I bought those same brackets from the board member. Would recommend them highly.

Re: Speaker Mounts

I got some originals ones over on the parts forum. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=763443

You can take the old speakers out and put new speakers in. That's what I did with mine, in my truck. And then painted the grilles Charcoal, to match my interior.
Sorry for the sideways pics, but you get the idea.
