Characteristics: This radiator is designed for direct replacement of the tall truck radiator. If you aren't sure which one you have, check upper hold down brackets. Narrow, straight brackets are for tall radiators. Narrow ''L'' shaped brackets are for short radiators. To put our radiator in place of tall truck unit, it's a direct fit. To use in place of short truck unit, you must buy upper brackets #14018579LH, #14018580RH and upper fan shroud #15980519. Use old insulators. If replacing Big Block radiator, held in place by a long top sheet metal hold-down cover, replace all insulating rubber with #14063126, four (4) pieces required. You may fabricate mounting insulators if you desire. Don't allow radiator to rub against other parts. Fan shroud may need minor fitting. Use new 12-15 psi GM style radiator cap or Be Cool radiator cap (part #134-70001 or #134-70002 for natural finish or part #134-71001 or #134-71002 for fully polished finish) to professionally complete your installation.
Use (2) 1/4-inch male pipe thread x 5/16-inch female inverted flair fitting (Be Cool part #134-72001). Use Liquid Teflon on fitting to install. Install 1 each in radiator transmission cooler fitting. Install stock lines
