Wiring is going really well, actually. Nothing picture worthy, but I’m plugging along

I see what you did there... Just remember wiring isn't to be taken lightly.

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha

No pictures, but Iíve made some really good headway on the AAW harness. I also decided to abort the EEC IV EFI stuff and switched to Holley Sniper EFI like Iím using in Walter. I am selling off all the EEC IV EFI stuff to fund this change. Iíve got the Sniper EFI and an Edelbrock RPM AirGap Intake plus the Holley HyperSpark box, coil & distributor coming so I can control the timing with the Sniper kit too. Should be pretty simple to go this route.

Got some more wiring done and a gratuitous shot of the Sniper and Air Gap in place.

Iíve got the AAW harness completed. Iíve also got the Dakota Digital gauges installed and working. Still have a few wires left on the Sniper EFI setup and then the wiring will be done. Still need to get the fuel lines, radiator & lines, and all the other new motor stuff worked out

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha

No pictures again, but I did some more work. I got the “Falcon...Powered by Ford” cast aluminum valve covers modified to accept the FMS reusable gaskets. Also got the roller rockers installed and adjusted the valves, so the valve covers are hopefully on for the final time. The list is certainly getting shorter. In a perfect world, I may be able to crank it this weekend! #fingerscrossed#

I lied, I added a pic. The lip I’m pointing at won’t work with the Ford Motorsports reusable gaskets, so it had to go.

Thanks Doug.

I got a couple more small projects done tonight. One of the starter bolt holes was stripped by the previous owner, so I put a helicoil in there. Then I pulled some Ď0í gauge power & ground wire from the front to the trunk for the relocation of the battery....what a PITA!!! Thatís some big wire.

Yeah Greg,

We got 6Ē of rain here in a matter of roughly an hour and a tornado about 2 miles south of us. We spent several hours cutting trees for some friends that had damage from it...hence why Iím not ranting & bitÄhing about my water encroachment.

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha

Well, after cleaning, vacuuming and cleaning some more in the shop, I got a chance to tinker on the Falcoon.

I got some more wiring done. I got the wiring far enough to actually turn the motor over with the KEY!!!

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha

Well, either my old @$$ battery or the starter that was in the previous motor...or both are crap, so Iíve gotta replace both to get the motor to turn over more than 25 rpm. Iíve got fuel, spark, 180+ psi compression, and the Sniper seems to be working appropriately, so Iím at a dead stop.

Re: 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon aka Martha

It isnít the battery as I bought & tried that to no avail. So, while I wait on the starter, I tried something else I found in my collection of parts... I just didnít like the idea of filling the tank inside the trunk. And the stock fillers are notorious for leaking...hence the clear being gone under the cap.
