vintage air SBC to LS ??

anybody already have a Vintage air system installed on a small block and then decided to go LS? I'm kicking the idea around about an ls1/6 and dont know what will be involved with the engine swap concerning the Vintage air I've already got.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you try and run a "stock variable speed compressor". Call Vintage air. They have really knowledgeable guys who love to talk AC systems. Really helpful I have found.

Re: vintage air SBC to LS ??

The challenges as I see them:

Nothing in the cab should need to change
--

bracketing and mounting of accessories
-- compressor, may or may not mount to an LS
-- if it can be mounted, no issue, otherwise maybe new compressor

routing of lines/hoses
-- if you keep everything in the same location under the hood, no issue
-- if compressor swaps sides, routing of the lines/hoses would be issue
-- if condenser, dryer has to be moved, same thing
-- for the heater, I figure some new hose would do it.

Clearance
-- the LS may or may not allow your current equipment to stay as-is

Otherwise, the VA system doesn't really care what motor you're running. That is, unless you also purchased the Front Runner system!
