Did gm make them? I know hickey enterprises made them back in the day also since i have their catalog...does anyone have some pics...maybe even installed?

I got an original one off a 72 blazer but really don't want to sell it, I can get you a pic if needed.

I tried to find one for awhile. There was one on ebay not too long ago that ended up selling for like $150. They come up every now and then. There is a board member on here who makes reproductions. I bought one from him. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks really, really nice.

have some pics of an original and the ones that I reproduce,,,pritty da@# close to the originals,,, Ive sold about 5-7 on this board and havent heard anything bad about them,,,the price is 50 bucks plus the ride,,,thanks Sean

I've got an original sitting in my garage. It looks just like 6772King's reproductions (but mine is powdercoated silver). $50 is a great deal!

I have a factory one that I bought when I switched to a poly gas tank -- just to be safe!

In my 72 I used a 37 gal NWMP tank and then made my own skid. I gave away the factory 21gal tank and skid to a friend in need. SO yes GM did make them.
