Re: New! 14" Baer Big Brake Kit - $999

The SS lines will be DOT lines with banjo fittings, crush washers, banjo bolts & chassis fitting. For the rear, it will include a band for the rear end to attached a bracket for the chassis fitting.

It will work on the 1.25" rotor, but should be no problem for the 1.00" rotor. I believe the bearing are slightly different, so can have a different hub made for you with the correct bearings.

Do you know if these will work with a no limit wide ride front? There site says they use a 2nd gen camaro spindle

The caliper bracket it setup for a modified C10 spindle. You still have option with the 2nd gen Camaro spindle though. Here is a link to 1st gen brake kits, but all will still apply to the 2nd gen spindle.

Re: New! 14" Baer Big Brake Kit - $999

I already have some of the CPP 2" modular spindles. So this kit will/will not bolt up to those?

Unfortunately this kit will not work with those drop spindles, since it has no dust shield bolt holes. The kit linked below will work with the CPP modular. It uses a 13" 2-piece rotor.

Re: New! 14" Baer Big Brake Kit - $999

Travis, how many pistons are in the front and rear calipers? I've got D-52 front and D-154 wilwood s on my 72 using 12" rotors and was wondering if these (14") would increase my current stopping power?

Thanks, Wade

Wade,

This kit, without a doubt, will increase your stopping power. The C5 uses a large 2-piston setup. Although the D52 is twin piston, it is a much smaller twin piston. Sometimes the piston count doesn't matter, and really the total piston area is what matters. I offer some 4 piston calipers, that will perform right there with a 6 piston setup.

Not only having a larger piston area, the leverage of the 14" rotor plays a role as well. Hope this info helped.

- Travis

Re: New! 14" Baer Big Brake Kit - $999

I see that they won't work with the CPP modular spindle but what about the standard CPP 2 1/2" drop spindles like the ones in the link below? I'm assuming since they are stock style, they should work?

Yes, they will work with those with the same modifications.
