Wheels that fit 53 3600

I'm having a tuff time finding wheels that fit my 53 Chevy 3600 3/4 ton. Are there wheels that fit newer model trucks that would fit my truck?

Ford van wheels are good fit.

Dexstar trailer wheels are also popular. Wheel Vintiques and US Wheel sell similar wheels.

Anything more than 4.25 backspace and you're hitting the tie rod.

8 lug I'm guessing? Anything off the 80s one tons should fit if you want nothing fancy. I got 86 k30 rims on my 3800

abig84 So, are your wheels and lug pattern the same as what I have on my truck? Yes I have 8 Lug wheels. And you are saying 80's 1 Ton Chevrolet truck?

Re: Wheels that fit 53 3600

Today I worked a 1/2 day. Then went on a trip to the salvage yard to find the wheels to fit my 53 Chevy 3600 3/4 ton truck. I'm having a tuff time finding wheels that have a 4 inch offset. I found two at one place. But I'd like four. I have another place to check out soon. too bad that the salvage yards aren't open on weekends. Now I have to take another day off of work.I'll find them one of these days. Thank you for the help you guy's I really do appreciate the help. This is a real learning experience.

Keep on the lookout for pre-97 Ford truck or any Ford 8 lug van.

Some Chevy wheels may work, but more than likely you'll have clearance issues with the tie rod.

Re: Wheels that fit 53 3600

New replacement steelies from the tire store would be cheaper than loosing work to go hunt for crusty used wheels.

There might be a chance that the tire store has a set of take off's out in the storage area or warehouse too. The local guys never throw good usable wheels away if they take them in when guys put custom wheels on their trucks and don't want the old ones. Most of them can order oem style steelies pretty cheap though.
