Re: Tool to read/reset airbag light

SRS (airbag) lights are NOT resettable. Every time the truck ignition is turned on, the SRS system goes thru a diagnostic test.

You have a bad sensor and it will need to be scanned to find out which sensor it is. Once that sensor is replaced, the light will reset itself. Call around your local independent shops and ask if they have a GM Tech II scanner.

I got tired of scanners not doing what I needed so I bought a Tech2. all the stuff I build is GM so it will pay off it has only been out of the box a couple of time in the month I have had it but it is showing benefits already. Jim

The snap on scanners will also read the data your looking for. But there almost just as expensive.

I have both the Tech 2 as well as a Snap on scanner.
