Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part III

My 69 CST. Original 396 is out right now, but it will go back in eventually. Bought it about 12 years ago, when I was 15. Repainted it 11 years ago. Just finished rebuilding a 72 front and rear end and swapped it out, lowered it 4", and gave it new wheels and tires. She drives like a brand new truck now!

Thank you! It's the blue that they used on the Dodge Viper, but we had metallic flakes added. The white is metallic pearl.

Soooo...nobody else is gonna ask about the spelling on the tailgate? Or the fact that there are 4 wheels under the back end? C'mon man! Tell us about it!

The spelling has an IV in it, you think it's for the 4 wheels

Or could it be VI for 6 wheel drive?

It's Homer the 68 C30, 1 ton dually, short bed, step side. I have a build thread that I figure everybody's tired of seeing me post so much in.. I am using my thread as my journal so I can kinda go back later and relive the build in my mind.

The spelling is C H E V, (here's where it gets tricky" I is actually the down leg of the R, I needed to add 6 inches to the gate to fit the 6 inch wider bed to fit over the dual wheels, I cut a V and the nest down leg of the R off a donor tailgate for an exact 6 inch insert. hard to explain, but I have pictures of widening the bed in my thread in the projects and builds section called "Meet Homer".

Someone recently told me it's kinda like survivor and Chevrolet combined to create CHEVIVROLET. Sounds better that the thing I was thinking which was "it's a French version that was shipped to Canada.

Not a bad idea, but no. I do like the thought though.

More like "had a C30 dually a mile long and just wanted to do something different and try to make a cool pickup.
