Hood Brace Question

My truck is a '55 3100 2nd series. My hood was junk so I bought a used one from a friend. Unfortunately, it didn't have the front brace shown in the picture. This is the one from my junk hood, but it's so thin it will never survive sand blasting. Does anyone sell this brace by itself?

Re: Hood Brace Question

I suspect no one offers this brace (even though they must make them if they make hoods).

I was hoping someone would have popped up here with a crunched hood that had a good brace. Unfortunately, most crunched hoods are hit in the snout... I'll put it in the Parts section.

I just surfed around Cincinnati Craigslist but didn't find anything. Maybe I'll put up a "WTB" ad...
