WIW? SWB frame

What's a 73-up shortbed frame worth? I usually deal with 60-66, those short frames can go from $500 on the low end to $1K on the high end. Never dealt with 73-87 so any input would be appreciated.

Re: WIW? SWB frame

Around here it's scrap weight.

Trucks with bodies on them are so plentiful it's not worth the hassle to convert a lwb to a swb through a frame swap.

You might find a guy desperate because he had a frame wrecked, but, again for $500-1500 you get a complete truck, sometimes running, albeit in need of lots of work.
