'71 GMC K2500 12 Valver

So completely new here and what better way to start than with my build I have been waiting to do. Unfortunately I won't be able to do the work myself. Being constantly deployed overseas I don't have time nor do i have any fab skill or garage space. Looking more for your help to make sure i don't skip anything that needs to be Worked over.

So I have a 1971 GMC K2500 standard cab long box. Wood bed floor. Green. Pretty sure its still the stock 350 with turbo 350 auto. Dana 44 front 60 rear. NP205. Owned her for 5 years now.

Donor truck 1994 Dodge 2500 SCLB. Cummins 6bt 375k. NV4500. 3.73 Gears. Dana 60 front 80 rear. Not sure if its the 241 or 271 txfer case.

As the plan goes now the frame down will be used with the body of the GMC. Figured someone would buy the chassis off the old truck. Everything gets rebuilt.

Engine overhauled and built up. ~400hp
Trans rebuilt and old design flaws fixed. 5th gear...
ARB Air lockers
BDS complete suspension 4.5" lift (new springs, leafs, shocks)
Firestone ride rite airbags
Yukon hub conversion
everything underneath powder coated and urethane coated
Custom steel tube bumpers
Warn Series 18 hydraulic winch Air controlled
Deweze 17gpm hydraulic clutch pump
30 gal reservoir under bed
Borgeson steering box
FASS filter system

Dang its good to be single!

Pics of trucks coming. She is about to get started on getting overhauled.

Welcome to the truck forum from Iowa! It sounds like you have a great build plan going. Thanks for your service too! Your tcase is either a 241DLD or 241DHD. They didn't use 271's in 94-02's. 03 was the first year for that. I'd recommend going with a dual disc organic clutch. What kind of modifications will be done to the engine?
