Airbags/airlines in subzero temperatures questions

So I live in the interior of Alaska. It is currently in the negatives and this weekend it's supposed to be -32f. I am finally finishing the Air suspension on my 64. I am worried about having issues in my air system due to the cold, for example air in the lines freezing, airlines cracking due to being cold or compressors acting up because they are to cold. Has anybody experienced this or have any advice? Thanks as always.

Go to any parts store and ask for airline antifreeze,They use it in the air system on semis.You will have to drain the system of air to add it and you only need about half a cup of it depending your tank size.

The compressors i have no idea on,I never seen one freeze here but your way north of me and see a lot colder temps them i do.Do you have a heated garage to keep it in ?Or is it outside all winter.

Maybe leave it at ride height for a while just in case your compressor freezes.Or figure out a way to add a fill port to the tank and use a co2 tank or another air you can get.

a co2 tank is basicly a portable air tank thats fill.Some people use them off road to run air tools and air up their tires after wheeling.

You could run a test on your compressors with a tank and a compressor and a battery. Set it all up in the garage then take it outside and let it sit a few hours and try to run it. Also ad a schrader valve that is easy to get to so you can just ad air with a compressor in the morning if needed before you go outside.

I've been driving trucks for years. I have always just put denatured alcohol in the lines. It displaces any moisture in the system.

I drove mine a couple winters ago here in Manitoba, average probably -15-20 celsius with -25c not being uncommon. I dumped a ton of airline antifreeze in and that helped but the lines still periodically froze up. I drove it maybe 20 times that winter, the compressor which was under the cab on a framerail starting making an awful racket and wouldn't build pressure much past 50psi. And that was the last winter I drove it...

Thanks for the input. Mine sits behind the rear diff which means it's completely exposed. We've been experiencing-20-30s over the past few weeks. I've thought about wrapping them in insulation to keep them warm.
