control arm caps

Hello,

rebuilding the front end of my 65 c10. Have everything in place. Doing a brake job next then back on the floor it goes.

I didnt completely tighten up the end caps on the control arms. Are they a torque specific item or do I just snug them up once on the ground? I have about 1/8" before they bottom out.

Thanks for any info.

Re: control arm caps

I am a little confused. My socket is 3/4" drive since the hex is 1 3/8 on the top and larger on the bottom. Have never really seen a torque wrench larger than 1/2" drive. Guess I need to buy an adapter from 1/2 to 3/4"? How much do I lose when I have an adapter like this?

thanks for helping.

Re: control arm caps

YES they make 3/4 torque wrench (pricey) BUT you don't need one get the 1/2-3/4 adapter you don't "lose" any torque
