99 Silverado A/C condensation drain

99 Silverado 1500, recently repaired/serviced the A/C, 40 degree vent air for a couple weeks. No condensation is draining from the firewall drain tube, no water on the interior floor (rubber mat). I bent a 1/8" piece of round bar and ran it up into the drain tube, no apparent blockage. I have to think some water would come out of the drain after each use.

How far up into the tube should I be trying to clean out? Should I remove the tube and try cleaning again?

I'd rather get ahead of this before I have 100 degree days and a wet floor.

Thanks in advance!

Re: 99 Silverado A/C condensation drain

Update.....

I guess there hadn't been enough humidity in the air for much condensation to develop. The drain appears to be working normally with recent higher temperatures.

Re: 99 Silverado A/C condensation drain

Glad it seems to be working OK now. Had no clue since I no longer have any late model trucks to look at..
