Re: I lost my coffee...

My morning coffee is special to me. You'll find me walking around the shop with my insulated mug each morning. I practically hug the thing. Sometimes I do the whole Lord of the Rings line, "my precious"

I owe my good health to my bad memory. The shop is about 40 yards from the house and when I head to the house to get or do something and can't remember what it was when I get there, I have to walk back to the shop to see if it will come back to me. This may happen 3 or 4 times a day and I have then walked 250 - 300 yards. No wonder I am in such good shape....

Re: I lost my coffee...

How deep is that rut now,Leon?

Couldn't find my second cup this morning. SOS, drink one, get a boost, start doing things, and while gettin' busy set it down somewhere. There's just enough caffeine in me to get the frustration jitters which fluster the ability to "find". Oh what a vicious cycle! The first cup tasted so good and felt even better. I want more and that cup is somewhere getting cold! I looked upstairs, downstairs...everywhere but on the ceiling, floor, or outside. Never went outside, so that's out. It wouldn't stay on the ceiling no matter how I'd try. And, if it was on the floor I would have kicked it over walking every square inch of said dang floor! Just when I was considering making another cup, there it was. Wasn't looking too hard, just caught a glance. Larry is right, it was on the dryer from when I put that load of wash in. Of course, the laundry room was the first place I looked. Sometimes it takes running the circuit several times till you feel like a rat in a cage, looking where you know it isn't, before you stumble into it. I think it's a study on involuntary self deprivation to allow greater appreciation of minor things. I feel better now than if I had simply drank two cups of coffee like all the other days.

Work is bad . I'll lose one then bring in another . then one day they magically all show up at once .. So when I drag 6 in at once to be washed my wife is unhappy .

I have "misplaced'' a cup on the weekend but let my wife come in and she will ask why I have two cups out .. Think she is a cup bird dog.

Re: I lost my coffee...

I leave cups all over the place, but I have to find them myself. When I worked at a parts store 40+ YA, when we were doing inventory we'd find cups left over from the last time, with some interesting"eyes" in them. Some green, some blue, some combinations. Mostly the ones with creamer. I drank black coffee, and the ones I found with no "eyes" were probably mine.

This morning it happened to me. Looked everywhere. Gave up got a new mug ready to pour, and there it was next to the coffee maker . Milk sitting next to it. I must have gotten distracted
