compatability/swapability

Hello, newbie to the forum here, This is the first of a long list of questions hope you guys/ gals, can help.
Recently viewed an add for an 06 burb 2500 for sale. In the photos in the add the second row appears to be from an 07-14 1500. Is that a feasable swap/safe
or is that a monkey show. I would add the link but don't want it to seem like a plug. I wouldn't thnk it fits but it sure appears to.
Any Help would be great and lots of more questions to follow.
Thanks

Re: compatability/swapability

hello nd welcome to the forum.

to answer your question about the second row seating, yes that is a direct fit swap. the floor to seat brackets look different and the way the seats fold is different but they bolt directly in as a the main structures of the bodies on these two trucks are are identical. I am working on an 03 escalade that is getting all 2012 seats, carpet, and headliner. I am working on another o3 escalade that will be getting an entire 2014 interior swap, including door panels and dash. like i said, the main structures are identical, i will know in the coming week or so if the doors will fit, i know the front fenders and hood fit, the only thing that i know for certain that is different is the outside quarter panel skins because of the body line on the dog leg of the wheel opening.

more info than you needed but i hope it helps.

Re: compatability/swapability

What do you do about the front seatbelts?
The T900 has the front belts on the B pillar. The T800 has em in the seat frames so they didn't have to have two different seats for the Extra cabs with no B-pillar and suicide rear doors.

there is a provision on the B pillar behind the trim for the seat belt mounts. I think the only thing needed would be to add a couple of those quick nuts to hold it all together and change the B pillar trim. I will try to get a picture of it tomorrow. I have a 2004 tahoe that has everything apart so a pic will be easy enough, if i can remember.
