67-72 on an '84 frame

how difficult is it to put a 67-72 cab, and front clip on a '73-'87 4x4 frame. What do I need to change to make every work and fit properly?

Thanks

YA, mudder67 has done it and it turned out nice you have to know what to look for to tell it isn't a 67-72.

I met Mudder67 at a show in Lincoln Nebraska last year, he is real nice guy. I talked to him about swapping the frame under my 67 and from what he said the biggest change you have to make is taking a couple of inches out of the frame so that the wheel base is right. I would also like more info about it though. guess we will have to talk to him.

when I talked to mudder 67 back at the show in Indy (Sept 03) I thought he said he cut off a couple inches in the back and had to move the front body mounts for the core support, I think that was about it.

Cut the frame in the middle (behind the cab). The front was easy. Just welded plates onto the original mounts. I have pics of all the mounts and you can pretty much tell where they are located on the frame. The most important thing is to get the cab back far enough from the distributor to where you can remove it. If you need pics or info let me know.

If anyone needs one of these frames, I have SWB frame, 73-87 not sure on year, which I had blasted primed and painted in John Deere Chassis Black. Don't need it anymore, sell for what I have in it. Kansas.
