Brighter backup lights

Does anybody know of or had anyluck with a brighter bulb to replace the backup bulbs. My rear window tint is so dark that it's a problem. any info would be great. 2003 silverado

I used rattle can chrome to spray the inside of my assemblies and it did wonders! My old laptop crashed so I dont have pics.

Edit: OOPS! Didn't see how new you were! I dont know if the assembly is accpetable

I have the same problem.. I bought the Sylvaina bright blue bulbs from auto zone..They helped abit, but Ive acually been looking into one of the backup light set ups that plug into your reciver..

I had the same problem with my 03 Tahoe and fortunately when I upgraded the taillights themselves with some tinted Denali type lights it fixed the problem because the actual lens is clear and not white so the light is extremely bright. I will post some pics hopefully this weekend. I got the lights on ebay for roughly $80 for the pair. I do know if you go with too powerful of a bulb you can actually melt the connector and the housing creating worse of a problem

When I got my truck, it had fog lights mounted to the frame wired into the backup lights. They REALLY light up the area behind ya!
