400 casting number 330817

Any opinions on the casting? What would one be worth? I posted an ad on Craigs and he said make him an offer, of course I wanna look for coreshift first and cracks on the surface deck, he says its in great shape.
Thanks

330817.....400...72-80...2

If it is a good block, I'd guess the location and all that would have an effect on price, but i'd offer $100 to start. Is it a block, short block, long block?? Is it a builder or is it running, all this effects the value?

Re: 400 casting number 330817

Just the block and crank, no machine work done yet, the crank will be junked(probably turned into some art of some sort), just want the block for my own build, I was thinkin $100 to $150 bucks in good shape. I guess I should word the question a little different, of the 2 bolt main blocks is this a generally better block or should I look for a 3951509 or 511 with 2 bolt mains.

I have no real opinion on which one is better, as I am not a 400 guy, but I am sure someone will jump in and offer their experiences.
