Give me strength
10 years ago I started a restoration on a 67 C-10. I am maybe 90% completed now. I have been looking at this truck for so long that my will and motivation is at an all time low. So close to getting it started, it would be a crime to stop now. What use to be a joy to work on is now pure torture. Beware, this is what happens when you streach a project out for so long.

I can understand your point, but being so close to finishing, don't stop now!! All it will take is her first cruise on a beautiful summer down main street to bring back 'that loving feeling'.

Oh man ,do i know the feeling. I drove my longhorn home in Dec of 1984, started collecting parts & rebuilding suspension & drivetrain. The frame was all done & painted, & the driveline was all done........well with a couple babys in the mix ,& a couple moves money got tight. The first sb that i built never ran in the longhorn, but was installed in my daily driver. At that point, I picked up an old delta 88, & dropped the 455/400t in the truck, & ran it for a while. The truck is in primer/sealer to make it all 1 color, & along about that 10yr point, i decided to drive it so I didnt totally lose interest in the project. Being a homeowner, there are other projects going now(gotta be a carpenter). I dont have as much time to spend on the truck, so my plan to leave it together,& do the mods as I have time......& still be able to drive the truck a little. i have gone a little "ape" with the welder,& have a few more mods to do before paint......after all the mods are done, she needs to come apart 1 more time for paint. its been a long haul, & many time i close the garage door & walk away from it for a while.......but I have gone too far to stop. Paint is overrated, there are a few pics here...... http://community.webshots.com/user/hotrodhorn

hey, where is zillah? washington at? there's a few washingtonians here, we should have a get together sometime, have the guys bring their nice rigs for some motorvation.
Stick with it, we all want to see that truck finished and it is sure to be a beauty. The ones that have the most blood sweat and tears into them are the best!

are the steering column and seats installed? my C10's cab is sitting on the garage floor, completely stripped, except for the steering column and bench seat. sit in there, and imagine cruising down the road. usually gets me going again.

71 Cheyenne-Zillah is near Yakima, ya, lets get together.
Crazy Longhorn-Thats a nice ride you have but will we ever be finished? 1FastC10-Seat and colunm are in. Thanks for the encourgment. I worked on it all day yesterday. Got her to crank over with a remote starter, my wireing is a mess and the ignition switch must be bad. Can't get anything electrical to work yet. I could use a new harness (another $500?). Ron
