Re: My "old Harley"

I know " without pics it didn't happen" LOL but they are well packed away from when you actually had to have '' film '' developed. In the mid 70s my only venture into the motorcycle world was purchasing a '52 Harley flat head K model. Think of it as an early Sportster. Had an extended front end, rear brakes only, King and Queen seat, peanut tank, Z bar handle bars, no mufflers, straight pipes off the heads. No electric start, kick start only. Looked plenty bad### and sounded better. Actually could sit back in the seat and give the start lever a good kick thru and it came to life with a great sound. NOTHING sounds as good as a Harley idling with open pipes. Great memories from the wife and I riding it. Last time she was on it she was 6 month pregnant with our first son. Doc told her no more riding until after the big event. I needed a truck for my work after the birth, couldn't afford new wife, son, truck and a motorcycle so you can guess how that went down.

Re: My "old Harley"

I like to play with Harleys. The blue Road King in the middle is my "new" bike which is now 15 years old with over 140,000 miles on it now. Two Panheads, two shovels, three Ironheads, and a Evo give me some choices.

Re: My "old Harley"

Here's a 95 Wide glide I put together to run around the beach S&S engine and paint by Pairadicepaint. Rob was working out of his garage at home when he did this about 9 years ago he's come a long way since then . Charged me $750.00

Re: My "old Harley"

It was compared to anything else I have ridden. We rode 10 hours the day we left home on that trip. I didn't like the crossover pipe under my butt, though. A real bun warmer. It was new on that trip in '05. I let it go the following summer.
