President #41 died

George Bush died today at 94. I believe he was the longest living President wasn't he? He and Barbara are together again.

R.I.P., Mr. President. You served your country honorably and well, both in wartime and later as the leader of this great land. Your nation salutes you.

Re: President #41 died

I got within 10 feet of him (separated by a fence) when he flew into the Bluefield, WV airport to give a speech at the Brushfork Armory in 2000.

I didn't agree with all his actions as president but I really liked the guy. He was a combat veteran with an impressive record.

So few WWII vets left. That whole group were good people. I hate to see them go as they could teach us a lot on how to act as a country.

Re: President #41 died

My Nephew was one of the Marine Honor Guards for Him. Eric was impressed because he always took the time to get to know their names and where they came from. One of His prized objects is a hand signed picture of the two of them at Camp David. He and his wife were a Class Act
