stranded truck in my shop

someone from Spokane WA recently bought a 65 C10 (orange in color) from Country Wide Auto in Austin MN. It was towed in to my shop with a broken axle on left rear. I have a sneaking suspicion it's a fellow board member

When I first opened the thread my eyes kind of tricked me. I thought the truck was hanging by a bunch of hoses haha!

I was blaming it on the bifocals, but yeah I was trying to figure out why he was hanging from the fenders. More coffee!

I'd say that bumper helped save the quarter from worse damage. Was the pumpkin dry? I'd say that bearing had about had it!

Re: stranded truck in my shop

I loosened the cover bolts and water started dripping out. The fluid was about an inch and a half below the tubes. That was not good

Re: stranded truck in my shop

Great to see a classic vehicle dealer selling old vehicles with shiny fresh paint jobs for all the money can't even pull a diff cover and inspect to know the condition of what they are selling. Is it Countryside Auto? Looks like some bondo got popped out of a rust.

Re: stranded truck in my shop

If it was here in the valley I have a complete rear axle under a trailer out in the yard that I would donate. the trailer is only serving as storage anyhow.
