4X4 Suburban suspension ???

I aquired a 1972 4X4 Suburban 1/2 ton I am getting back on the road after being stored for 10 years. The front end is higher than the back end and the front rides like a tank.

My question is how many leafs did the spring pack come stock with?? I suspect a previous owner wanted lift at the cost of ride.

I must be getting old but comfort is more important than it used to be.

Thanks
Mike

Re: 4X4 Suburban suspension ???

The ones that I have seen had two leafs on each side in the front, just like the trucks.

Re: 4X4 Suburban suspension ???

My '71 4x4 Blazer has the standard 2-leaf front suspension. The ride is okay.

I just bought a very original but very rough '72 4x4 1/2-ton pickup with "F60 Heavy Front Spring"; it has 3-leafs. It needs a lot of work before it could be driven, so sorry I can't comment on the ride.
