4l60e problems?
Just got a 90 Chevy 4x4 and trans is acting up not wanting to shift but still pulls strong is this a solenoid problem or do I need to find a trans?

Are you sure that it's a 4L60E and not a 4L60? The E is electronically controlled for shifting.
It could be the transmission controller, or something as simple as dirty/low/wrong ATF. If you haven't changed the ATF yet, I recommend replacing the filter and ATF, many people neglect their transmissions.

The plastic governor gear is also a common problem that will cause them to not shift out of 1st gear.
I changed one out once and got it to shift from 1st to 2nd (which it wouldn't do before) but found out that the trans was bad anyway and had to have it rebuilt. |

I just got the truck it leaks bad you can tell someone has been init it has a new pan gasket clean fluid it will shift from 1-2 ok from 2-3 is real hard and that's all its got
