Turn signal fuse keeps blowin', '81 K20 silverado

Turn signal fuse keeps blowin', '81 K20 silverado , last two fuses I put in, turn sigs, worked again then were blown next day after driving. Emergency flashers work. turn sigs dont. Been busy too busy to look into it

Got any ideas? Anyone had this issue?

I wonder if the whole switch under the steering wheel is shot... Looked OK when I had steering wheel off a while ago

Book says, Back up light is on that 20 amp turn sig fuse too. Any thing else?

I would start inspection from tail lights to cab look for burnt or rubbed wires causing shorts to ground

Most tail light harness are a mess from getting hack job trailer lights added

The fuse is blowing from overload to the turn signal light circuit

Unplug the turn signal harness at the column and check the wires to a good ground for low or zero ohms. if one of them reads continuity then the short is in the column.

If none show low resistance then check all the wires in the other side of the column plug
for the same thing.
Post back with the results.

That is a good idea

I cant find any issues in the wiring at the back of the truck trailer plug wiring etc or old camper lights wiring

110 degrees out too hot
